Helwith
Bridge 30/9/07. Ian Briggs writes...
"We
had a splendid ride today. 14 people (including John
Rawnsley) turned up for the 'start' at Helwith Bridge
at 10.00am and as expected there were 2 x cake stops
and one pub stop during the morning. John regaled us
with some tales of the early (and earlier) days of the
'Peaks as we rode round - and despite there being no
race as such, we paid due homage to it in its absence
- as it were".
General
information about the 3 Peaks Cyclo-Cross is listed
further down this page.
Accommodation:
You can stay in a hostel next to race HQ or
camp in the field where the race finishes - updated

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT!! NO-CYCLING EXCLUSION ZONES
***
It is normally illegal to ride over sections of the
race route that are footpaths or traverse private land.
Permission to ride over these sections has been granted
for the day of the race only. This means that there
is strictly NO CYCLE TRAINING over most of the off-road
sections. See the no-training
course map for full details. The
future of the race will be in jeopardy if selfish riders
ignore these restrictions.
