A few thoughts here for consideration by riders and the organisers (sorry to burden you with yet more things to do)
1. wrappers of gels and bars - please, please, please put them back in your jersey pocket or stuff them somewhere rather than chuck them on the ground - I'm amazed at the number of people who think that littering is ok when racing or even training.
2. Does anyone else think that at the summit of Pen y Ghent we should be sticking to the rocky track rather than cutting the corner over the moorland - the erosion here seems to be all down to the 3 peaks cx race. There are a few other shortcuts on the route as well that seem to create an unecessary impact but they would be much harder to marshall or rope off in some way.
Any other thoughts on how the race could do better in terms of its impact on this area of natural beauty?
