My 3 peaks preparation usually includes a ride in the fortnight before that tries to replicate the conditions found in the race.
Has anyone got anything better than what I did today in the Peak District?
- Langsett Reservoir, up Cut Gate (a river of rocks and water today!), around Ladybower(taking in another off road climb and descent) and back over Cut Gate again. It certainly replicated the pain in the hands and arms well!
previously I have gone from Ladybower over to Hope Cross, Edale, up Mam Tor and back again.
Anyone else got a good training route to share? (I don't know how I did it when I lived in flat Essex and all we had were farmers fields to ride around for preparation!)
