As above, many, many thanks to all involved particularly given the 'challenging' conditions - at least we were able to keep warm by moving (although at times it must have appeared to the casual observer that I was moving so slowly as to be actually motionless).

Apologies also for keeping everyone out for so long - the brief euphoria of making the cutoff at Horton was soon replaced by "oh, bugger" when I realised I had to go on!

I always do try to make a point of saying Thank You to the marshals I see as I go through. In those winds, I'm not sure they'd hear my anyway. Nobody would choose to go out in that, let alone stand there for hours. We are all deeply in debt. Sincere thanks and deep admiration.

Just another BIG thank you to ALL the volunteers and organisers - you couldn't employ people to do what the Marshal did sunday (Health and Safety police would prevent it ) Lets all hope it continues for another 50 years so our next generation can continue to experience this crazy and uniquely challenging event with the personal rewards it delivers. After this weekend WHY would anyone return but no doubt it 'll be over subscribed next year

Also wanted to thank all the marshals, helpers and supporters as well as the organiser. This was my first attempt and despite the conditions found it strangely fun. I am hoping to be back next year.
